Your first steps matter
A different first chapter
A starting zone introduces more than basic mechanics. It establishes the culture, landscape, and conflicts that shape a new character's place in Azeroth. ArdenWoW reimagines these beginnings so that the first hours feel worth exploring again.
These areas are not separate continents or distant endgame regions. They are new interpretations of the places where an adventure begins—recognizable in spirit, but different in layout, atmosphere, and scale.
Four places to begin
Reimagined starting zones
Each opening area builds a distinct first impression through its terrain, architecture, and atmosphere. From the haunted roads of Tirisfal to a workshop buried in snow, the journey starts with a place that immediately tells you who lives there.
The Forsaken beginning, reimagined
Brill
Brill has been reshaped into a larger and more imposing Forsaken settlement. Its graveyards, laboratories, towers, and crooked streets create a stronger first impression of the people who reclaimed this corner of Tirisfal Glades.
The familiar darkness remains, but the expanded layout makes the settlement feel like a place with its own purpose and history rather than a brief stop on the road.

A new beginning in Durotar
Zeb'Goro
Zeb'Goro rises from Durotar's red canyons as a rugged starting settlement of bridges, huts, defensive walls, and monumental Horde architecture. The landscape itself becomes part of the settlement, guiding new heroes between towering cliffs and connected paths.
Its scale gives the opening journey a stronger sense of arrival while keeping the harsh, sun-scorched identity that defines Durotar.

A forgotten human beginning
Old Northshire Village
Old Northshire Village offers a quieter human beginning among dense woodland, weathered ruins, and a secluded waterfall. The environment feels older and more secluded, inviting new adventurers to study the remains scattered through the valley.
It preserves the welcoming green landscape associated with the human starting experience while giving the area a more ancient and exploratory character.

A snowbound gnomish settlement
Radiance Town
Radiance Town brings gnomish invention into a snow-covered starting area filled with workshops, pipes, platforms, and machinery. Technology occupies every corner of the settlement, making experimentation part of the landscape from the moment a new hero arrives.
The contrast between frozen mountains and active machinery gives the town a clear identity and a memorable setting for the beginning of a gnomish adventure.

Beyond familiar borders
Discover new zones
Pale Reach and Druk'Thar expand the journey beyond the reimagined starting areas. Each region introduces a distinct landscape, settlement, and atmosphere built around exploration.
A stronghold beyond the frozen frontier
Pale Reach
Pale Reach stands high above a cold and unforgiving wilderness. Stone walls, watchtowers, and tightly packed homes form a fortified settlement built to endure the snow, steep cliffs, and dangers hidden throughout the surrounding forest.
Bridges and mountain paths connect the stronghold to the wider valley, giving the zone a layered sense of scale. Its distant lights offer shelter against a landscape defined by mist, snowfall, and isolation.

A Horde outpost among towering cliffs
Druk'Thar
Druk'Thar occupies a chain of steep coastal valleys where Horde towers overlook dense woodland and dark waters. Ships and timber docks connect the settlement to the coast, while narrow trails wind between monumental cliffs farther inland.
The region feels remote and vertical, with fortified structures marking the route through the mountains. Its combination of jungle, stone, and sea creates a rugged frontier shaped by travel and defense.
